LEARNING BEHAVIOUR AT STOKE PRIMARY ACADEMY

Stoke Primary Academy is a values-led school I which staff model the respect for others, self and the school environment that we wish to promote.

With clear boundaries for behaviour through our ‘Stoke Expectations’ and consistent but fair consequences, children understand the parameters and feel safe in school. We nurture good behaviour through building relationships with pupils and engaging them in exciting learning experiences that respect individuals and build self-esteem.

Children at Stoke know that we expect:

Children take pride in their school and enjoy working hard to meet our school expectations.

To foster a greater understanding of how we learn, we also focus on developing our Learning Powers through everything that we do. Children know that they can achieve great things if they build these learning powers and think about how to improve on the areas that they find tricky.

Our Learning Powers are:

-Be curious

-Have a go!

-Concentrate

-Be co-operative

-Use your imagination

-Don’t give up!

-Enjoy learning

-Keep improving
